Last weekend I got to be a part of Boston University lacrosse history when I was one of the broadcasters as the Terriers defeated the then-ranked Navy Midshipmen 10-9 in double overtime. It was the first overtime game in BU lacrosse history, and also the highest ranked opponent BU had ever defeated.
This game was one of the most exciting I have been a part of at BU, and I’ve been at playoff wins for men’s and women’s hockey, and the Patriot League championship win for the women’s soccer team.
Being around one team and following it for every single game, communicating with the coaches, players, and staff, and being able to comment on the team and then write about it has been an experience better than any class I have taken at either school. I still can’t believe I get to do it.
