Saturday, May 14th, 2016 was one of the most exciting days in the history of the Boston Cannons. The MLL team overcame a 9-5 halftime deficit to defeat the Rochester Rattlers in overtime at Harvard Stadium, but how they got to the extra period is where the history comes into play.

Brodie Merrill, a long pole defender, scored from the other end of the field on a miracle shot. Boston went to overtime and Davey Emala scored the game winner off a pass from Will Manny.

I had the call on play by play for MLL Radio, with James Mattone with me on the color commentary. George Capalbo produced the broadcast, and it will continue to be replayed on MLL Radio, but I have it posted here as well along with audio of just the Merrill goal and overtime period.
