2017 in Review: Sports journalism is grand

There’s no doubt that 2017 was a year of change. I graduated, got a job I love, left a job I loved. Broadcasted on TV, was hired for countless freelance gigs. Covered hockey at a baseball stadium and lacrosse at a football stadium. Fulfilled a life dream of being on the sideline for a national championship. Had the play by play call for BU’s first ever lacrosse postseason win.

In 2018, I am more secure than I was at this time last season. I will be back for BU lacrosse and the Boston Cannons. I will be writing in Newburyport and also for espnW. I have trips planned to Buffalo, Columbus, and maybe Florida.

In 2017, I covered- Frozen Fenway, women’s Beanpot, men’s Beanpot, women’s Hockey East championship, MIAA girls hockey state title, the Isobel Cup, NHL playoffs, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, Patriots training camp, Major League Lacrosse, CWHL, NCAA D1, D2, D3 title games, NCAA women’s D1 lacrosse title game, MIAA boys lacrosse state title, Eastern League all-star game, team USA baseball, team USA women’s hockey, UWLX semi finals, Bruins development camp, NHIAA softball, baseball, and field hockey state title games, BU vs BC alumni game, NWHL at Prudential Center, Manchester Monarchs, D1 basketball, hockey, lacrosse, high school football, golf, volleyball, cross country, and Hockey Night in Boston.
